The three W’s are preparing to welcome visitors to a special weekend.
The Woodchurch, Willesborough and Wittersham windmills are all taking part in the National Mills Weekend Festival this Saturday and Sunday, May 10 and 11.
The mill at Woodchurch is a five-storey white smock design that was rebuilt around 1820; the Willesborough large smock mill was built in 1869; and the mill at Wittersham is the tallest post mill in Kent, believed to date from 1781.
The trio are among more than 300 windmills across the UK opening their doors to the public this weekend.
Full story and opening times in this week’s Kentish Express.
