A man has been arrested after armed police were called to a village.
Firearms officers descended on Sellindge, between Ashford and Hythe, following reports of a man with a weapon yesterday.
Witnesses described seeing at least eight officers armed with "assault rifles" and wearing protective gear in Swan Lane at around 1.15pm.
The officers surrounded a parked car after receiving reports that the man inside was carrying a weapon.
While no threats were reported, the man was arrested and officers searched the vehicle, seizing a BB gun.
A police spokeswoman said: "The suspect has been taken into custody while enquiries are ongoing."
