Assault victims lock themselves in the Clay Oven Indian takeaway in Cheriton High Street

Police are appealing for witnesses following allegations of an assault and threatening behaviour at an Indian takeaway in Cheriton, Folkestone.
Officers were called to The Clay Oven, in Cheriton High Street to a report of a disturbance.
It is believed that sometime between 7.45pm and 8.30pm seven men tried to gain access to the premises as the victim’s locked themselves inside following an earlier attack outside the takeaway.
Now police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at 7.45pm on Friday, May 31.
A spokesman said; “Kent Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident and officers are particularly keen to speak to a man who tried to intervene in the dispute."
