Ashford man Stephen Bangs charged after woman stabbed in Trinity Road

A man has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was stabbed.
Stephen Bangs has appeared in court after police was called to a property in Ashford following reports that a woman had been assaulted.
Officers attended the building off Trinity Road at 1.10pm on Thursday, August 18, alongside paramedics.
The victim was taken to the William Harvey Hospital with an injury consistent with a stab wound.
A man known to the victim was arrested in Ashford later the same day.
Mr Bangs, 61, of Trinity Road, has since been charged with attempted murder.
He appeared before Folkestone Magistrates' Court the following day, and was remanded in custody.
He will next appear before Maidstone Crown Court on Tuesday September 16.
