Charing barn fire in Hart Hill damages farm building

Firefighters spent three hours dealing with a fire in a barn last night.
Crews were called to the blaze on a farm in Hart Hill, Charing, near Ashford just after 9pm.
The barn was already alight along with a large pile of seasoned wood nearby, the fire service said.
Two fire engines and support vehicles including the bulk water carrier and a Bobcat were used during the operation.
They used hose reel jets and main jets to tackle the fire.
The technical rescue team were also called to assist to drag out the burning wood to reach the main part of the fire to contain and extinguish it.
There were no injuries and the cause has not yet been identified.
Crews left the scene just after 1.15am.
