A beauty salon is to remain open - despite a planning application to change it back into a house being approved.
Last year, an application was made to transform Top to Tail in Faversham Road, Kennington, into a home.
Ashford Borough Council passed the proposal - which had been made by a prospective buyer - last month.
But now the Top to Tail owner has confirmed it will remain as a beauty parlour after the sale fell through.
Writing on the application, a planning officer stated that the loss of the service would not have had a significant impact on the community as the Simon and Matt Halls hair salon is within walking distance of the site.
Top To Tail is opposite the Kennington United Reformed and Methodist Church, close to the Towers School.
