A man has been charged with multiple offences after a BMW crashed through a wall and into a parked car.
Police were called to Kingsnorth Road in Ashford on Saturday night.
Skye Edmond, who lives in the street, was watching television with her husband when they were startled by "a screaming, crunching" noise.
"We were sitting having a relaxed Saturday night, when we heard the crash outside," she said.
"It was just the worst noise in the world – a screaming, crunching impact, and we ran outside and saw the car."
The silver BMW had smashed straight through the waist-high wall outside the Edmonds' house, colliding with their parked car – a blue BMW – on the other side.
Officers were called to the scene and arrested a man, while the BMW that crashed was taken away that night.
Ashley Randall, 33, of no fixed address, appeared at Folkestone Magistrates' Court yesterday facing five charges in connection with the incident.
These include failing to provide a specimen for analysis, failing to comply with a preliminary test, driving while disqualified, using a motor vehicle without insurance and failing to stop following a collision.
Mrs Edmond says she has been left counting the cost, however, as she faces the possibility of losing her car.
"My car is going to be taken away to have a look at the damage, but it could well be a write-off," she explained.
"The whole left-hand-side is completely buckled over the wheel.
"The damage is worse because it wasn't just hit by the car but also the wall because he went straight through it."
