Brick attack victim loses sight in one eye
10:39, 07 January 2004
THE woman driver hit by a brick hurled through her car windscreen on the A28 has lost the sight in one eye.
Ro Govett, the 41-year-old mother-of-two from Bethersden, returned home from hospital for Christmas.
A police spokesman said that Mrs Govett would need further surgery, but confirmed she had lost the sight in her right eye.
Mrs Govett also broke her foot when her car crashed after the brick smashed her windscreen as she drove along the A28 at Bethersden in November.
Officers have revealed that they are hunting for a light-coloured tipper/dropside van, which was one of four vehicles travelling towards Mrs Govett's car when the brick was thrown.
Detectives believe the driver and any passengers could hold vital evidence.
