Two London-bound lanes of the M20 are blocked after a lorry broke down and a car was left stranded.
Emergency services are at the scene, with the section between Junctions 8 and 9 experiencing a 40 minute delay while recovery takes place.
Drivers are being urged to use caution following the break-downs, which occurred just after 9.45am.
Highways England have announced that traffic has been released in lane 1, while lanes 2 and 3 remain closed due to the "awkward position" in which the lorry broke down.
There is congestion for approximately 5.2 miles, according to the road operation agency.
