A callous burglar has raided a 97-year-old woman's Ashford house while she was gardening.
The brazen thief even waved goodbye to his victim after stealing cash, jewellery and commemorative coins.
He targeted her house in Canterbury Road, Kennington, on Sunday afternoon.
Kent Police said the victim had reportedly been outside gardening between 6-7pm.
When she went back inside, she found a man - described as aged between 20 and 30, 5ft 10ins and wearing a long coat - in the hallway.
After being discovered, he waved goodbye to the woman as he walked off.
The pensioner went upstairs to find her bedroom had been searched and discovered the items missing.
Anyone who saw the man or who has any information is asked to phone Kent Police on 101 - quoting ZY/11049/13 - or Kent Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
