A cinema was forced to close due to 'weather damage' caused by heavy rain this lunchtime.
Water has leaked into Cineworld, on the Eureka Leisure Park in Ashford, following downpours earlier today.
A short statement posted on the social media site says: "Due to current weather damage we are closed until further notice. An update will be posted when this changes.
"For any ticket issues please contact customer services. Apologies for any inconvenience caused."
Staff were seen clearing up the main foyer at about 2pm and the doors were reopened to movie-goers at 6.30pm.
A spokesman for the firm said: "Cineworld Ashford was closed this afternoon out of caution to inspect some minor damage to the site from the recent bad weather. The cinema will reopen for evening showings."
It comes just months after the multiplex opened its new extension housing state-of-the-art screening facilities.
Work on the IMAX and 4DX screens screens began in March 2020, five years after the plans were approved, but Covid lockdowns delayed the construction.
