Fast food chicken lovers have been urged to use their common sense as a number of KFC drive-thrus reopen across Kent.
Four outlets - in Ashford, Broadstairs, Dover and Gillingham - are now catering for motorists craving food from The Colonel.
The stores were previously only open for delivery - but bosses now believe it is safe enough to have the drive-thrus up-and-running.
It comes after dozens of drivers flocked to Broadstairs' outlet last week, only to find the restaurant wasn't open for normal customers.
However, the drive thru is now operating - but those thinking of heading out to buy their fast food have been warned to use their common sense.
A statement from KFC reads: "We’ve been working hard to responsibly reopen our restaurants and now we’re spreading our wings a little further.
"In line with government advice, we’ve decided to open the drive-thru lanes at 55 of our UK restaurants that are already open for delivery.
"We know it’s tempting, but please, please don’t all rush at once.
"Delivery remains the best way to get your fried chicken fix – we just want to offer a little more choice to those who are already on the road for essential journeys or on their way home from difficult shifts."
Bosses say the drive-thrus, which are offering a limited menu, will follow stringent new social distancing and safety procedures, including contactless handover of food and the installation of protective screens.
Those open for drive-thru are:
- Ashford, Eurkea Leisure Park
- Broadstairs, Westwood Retail Park
- Dover, Honey Wood Retail Park
- Gillingham, Courtney Road
