A serious crash closed the A20 at Smeeth this afternoon.
A car and a motorbike collided at about 1.20pm and the motorcyclist, a man in his 60s, was taken to the William Harvey Hospital with a suspected broken leg and an injured hand, an ambulance spokesman said.
Police and other emergency services stayed at the busy stretch of road, between Ashford and Hythe, for more than an hour following the accident.
Kent County Council described the severity of the accident as "high".
The road has now re-opened.
