Crash on Faversham Road, Ashford

An elderly woman has been taken to hospital following a crash in Kennington, Ashford.
Paramedics were called to an report of a crash on Faversham Road just before 12.40pm today.
The woman, believed to be in her eighties, was said to be suffering from shock as well as neck and back pain after the two-car crash.
Firefighters were called after fears that the elderly lady might be trapped inside her car, but they were able to help her out without needing to cut through the car.
One ambulance crew assessed the woman at the scene and she has since been taken to the William Harvey Hospital.
Stagecoach buses have reported that their C and H line services will be running late on a diverted route.
Police have been contacted for comment.
