Crowds adopted the 'Glastonbury spirit' at yesterday's Create Music Festival.
Despite the afternoon's downpour, thousands walked through the gates of Victoria Park, in Jemmett Road, to watch more than 30 acts perform across four stages.
Headlining the Main Stage were folk hip-hop duo Nizlopi, who worked beat-boxing, double bass and a rip roaring rendition of their most famous hit The JCB Song into their set.
Other acts included Old Town Souls and Surrender The Thought, who performed on the Right Track Music Stage, and Casey Heyburn on the DJ Stage.
Away from the music, many families enjoyed a picnics under gazebos, shopped in the newly revamped indoor and outdoor market, and made full use of all the amusement rides on site.
Ashford Borough Council arts and cultural industries manager, and Create organiser Chris Dixon said: "Create 2014 has been amazing, and the people of Ashford really took the centre stage at this one.
"At times the rain was so unbearable I couldn't believe that so many people just got on with it and stayed to support the acts.
"The spirit was 'it's one day a year - so this rain isn't going to stop us'.
"In some ways, the rain helped provide that beautiful intimate festival atmosphere on some of the smaller stages, as crowds got up close and personal in the tented marquees.
"So many have told me this has been the best year ever!"
