Delays near The Harvester on A28 Canterbury Road, Ashford, after cyclist hit by car

There were delays on a main road after a cyclist was injured after being hit by a car.
Queues built up on the A28 Canterbury Road, Ashford, as police and paramedics attended the scene.
The incident happened at the junction with Cemetery Lane, next to The Harvester, in Kennington.
Paramedics were treating the cyclist for injuries at the scene.
The road was partially blocked in both directions by the ambulance.
A police spokesperson said: "We were called to a collision by the ambulance service in Canterbury Road at about 12.50pm.
"Officers arrived at the scene, which involved a car and a bicycle. The cyclist was treated for injuries by paramedics."
The extent of the injuries are not yet known.
The ambulance service has been contacted for a comment.
