Cyclist fighting for their life in London hospital after hit and run crash on the A259, near Brenzett

A cyclist is fighting for their life in hospital after a hit and run crash with a lorry near Ashford.
The lorry driver failed to stop at the scene and a man has been arrested in connection with the collision, which happened just before 3pm yesterday, on the A259 near Brenzett.
The cyclist sustained life threatening injuries and was taken to a London hospital for treatment.
A man in his seventies from the East Sussex area was arrested and is currently in custody.
Officers are now appealing for dashcam footage of the crash.
