Flooding has closed two lanes of one of Kent’s busiest motorways prompting miles of queues.
Heavy rainfall has forced National Highways to shut lanes one and two of the M20’s westbound carriageway in Ashford.
Motorists have been advised to take extra time for journeys amid 25-minute delays and a two-mile-long tailback, with the closure stretching from Junction 9-10.
A National Highways spokesman said: “Lanes one and two (of three ) are closed on the M20 westbound between J10 and J9 near Ashford due to flooding following heavy rainfall.
“There are 2 miles of congestion causing 25-minute delays above normal travel time.
“Please allow extra journey time.”
