All lanes have now been re-opened after a crash involving two lorries on the M20.
The busy road was closed coast-bound between junctions 9 and 10 at around 9am this morning.
Motorists were warned of long delays after unconfirmed reports a large lorry carrying portaloos caught fire near the slip road following the crash.
Emergency services were called to the scene to treat a man.
Firefighters used heavy rescue equipment to release him from his lorry. He was then passed into the care of ambulance crews.
A police spokesman said: “We were called at 9.08am on Tuesday 20 June to reports of a collision involving two lorries on the M20 coastbound between junctions 9 and 10.
"Officers are currently at the scene along with SECAMB who are treating the driver of one of the lorries.”
The delays have now cleared and the vehicles are being recovered.
The accident follows the start of the Kennington road closure this morning, which is also causing delays on Ashford's roads.
