More details of major housing scheme that would add dozens of homes to a village have been revealed.
Bovis Homes hopes to fill land bordering the B2060 Ashford Road in Hamstreet with 80 homes.
To accommodate the influx of children to the area, the developer would also build a classroom and football pitch for Hamstreet Primary Academy as well as a 60-space car park.
Furthermore, a woodland classroom will be transferred to the school.
Outline permission was granted for the development last year, however the new application - submitted on March 22 - would see the fine details confirmed.
In the scheme's design and access statement, planning agent DHA Planning highlights its 800m proximity to the centre of Hamstreet and its amenities.
The document assures the council that "a traditional architectural style will be used throughout the site", with houses near the entrance boasting "more formal brick detailing that is consistent with Victorian housing."
Houses further into the site will "reflect a more rural location, with materials such as weatherboarding being introduced."
