Fire crews spent nearly an hour fighting a spreading and unattended bonfire last night.
They were called to a field off Hythe Road, in Mersham Le Hatch, at 11.20pm and used hose reels to extinguish the flames.
Watch manager Andy Harris said: "Someone had felled a load of trees and placed them in the middle of a field. This resulted in a large bonfire.
"We sent one engine and were at the scene for around 45 minutes."
No one was reported as injured from the fire.
Mr Harris added: "Please don't leave bonfires unattended. If you are going to leave the area, make sure they are out first."
