Writing on the page Spotted in Folkestone, Mr Orpheus said: "A fair sized disco ball fell out of one of the top flats and smashed down right in the middle of our table, with bits of glass flying everywhere.
"A few inches either way and it could have been fatal. We didn't see it fall but a passer by did.
"I've since been in to Starbucks and informed the lovely staff of it.
"In light of recent events were people have been hit by falling things from building, I'm sure we all want a safe town."
A Starbucks spokesman said: "We are aware of the incident
that occurred outside a Starbucks store in Folkestone yesterday
afternoon, and have confirmed our partners (employees) and customers
were not harmed."
