Dramatic footage of bus bursting into flames on Hamstreet Road near Ashford

A bus had to be evacuated after a blaze broke while passengers were on-board.
The incident happened earlier today near Ashford and was captured on footage by Ian White's backseat passengers, his son Miles and daughter Gemma.
He was driving his car along Hamstreet Road, at about 10.30am when the bus bust into flames.

Mr White, 40 and from East Sussex managed to calmly call the fire service to inform them of the blaze and told KentOnline all the passengers were able to get off the bus unharmed.
He added: "There were passengers on the bus, all got off safely.
"Kent Fire and Rescue Service were on scene very quickly with one appliance, a second appliance also arrived later too."
Mr White was looking forward to the drive to his home in East Sussex, with is son Miles Penfold, nine, and his daughter Gemma White, 10 and his niece, Chloe Blackshaw, 14, but said after the fire had been put out and everyone was safe, he realised there was diesel from the bus on his windscreen
He added: "I was looking forward to a nice drive along the A259 but with the diesel all over the windscreen it wasn’t easy afterwards."
A spokesman for Kent Fire and Rescue Service said crews were called out at 10.33am.
She added: Two fire engines were sent to the scene and crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
"No casualties have been reported and the fire is believed to have started in the engine area of the vehicle."
The fire was out by 11.07am.
