A driver was taken to hospital after a crash between a car and lorry.
Police were called just before 5pm yesterday following reports of a collision near Junction 10 of the M20 in Ashford.
Officers and paramedics attended the scene in Bad Munstereifel Road and the car driver was taken to the William Harvey Hospital as a precaution.
Pictures following the incident, involving a HGV and a blue car, show both vehicles suffered damage.
The car’s passenger side front and back doors were crumpled with the airbags appearing to have gone off inside the vehicle.
The lorry suffered less damage caused to the area around its front headlight and the light itself.
British Transport Police posted on X following the incident and reported their officers “closed the road off and used their vehicle as a fend-off to ensure the safety of the people and scene”.
Arrangements were later made to recover the vehicles by police.
