Firefighters had to cut a man free from a car crash on a rural lane before he was taken to a London hospital with serious arm injuries.
Police were the first to be called shortly after 7pm yesterday after the vehicle overturned on Coldharbour Lane between Hastingleigh and Wye near Ashford.
Three crews from Kent Fire and Rescue Service were arrived at the scene a short while later.
They used specialist tools to remove the roof of the car and the free the man, who is in his 40s.
The air ambulance was called, and when it arrived its crew assisted paramedics with treatment at the scene before the casualty was taken by road to a major trauma centre.
