A van driver had to be cut free after crashing into the back of a lorry.
The emergency services were called to the crash on the M20 between Junction 8 for Leeds and Junction 9 for Ashford just after 9pm last night.
Firefighters had to use hydraulic cutting equipment to rescue the male van driver.
Kent Police said they were called at 9.11pm to the coastbound carriageway just before Junction 9.
A spokesman said: "The driver of the van was trapped by the steering wheel on his leg."
Paramedics treated the driver for a minor injury. No other injuries were reported.
The fire crew left the scene just before 10pm.
Police said the carriageway was all clear at 11.20pm.
