Police traffic officers closed a road in both directions for several hours after a crash which left two motorists with "serious" injuries.
One driver was airlifted to hospital in London by the air ambulance after the crash on the A2070 near Park Farm in Ashford, while the other was taken to the William Harvey Hospital.
Police closed the stretch of road in both directions between the Bridgefield housing estate roundabout and the junction with the A2042, but it has since reopened.
They were called shortly before noon to a crash involving two vehicles, and police say both drivers suffered serious injuries.
The fire brigade worked alongside paramedics to cut one of the drivers out of the wreckage of their car.
The police had advised motorists to avoid the area, but it is now clear.
