Trains cancelled between Ashford and Canterbury due to emergency incident

A man has died on a railway line.
British Transport Police were called to Ashford International Station at 5.58am following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
Paramedics also attended but a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
Trains were unable to run between Ashford and Canterbury for around two hours..
All services were diverted via Dover or cancelled and replacement buses were running between Ashford, Canterbury and Ramsgate.
Just before 9am the line was allowed to reopen but passengers were warned of some disruption.
