Police and paramedics called to Canterbury Road M20 bridge in Ashford amid concern for person

Emergency services were called to a bridge over the M20 following concerns for a person’s welfare.
Police and paramedics attended A28 Canterbury Road bridge in Kennington, Ashford, at about 10am.
Officers and an ambulance crew were seen on the stretch near the Harvester restaurant and Longacres Garden Centre.
Police say they were alerted to concerns about a person’s welfare.
After attending the scene, officers passed the person into the care of the ambulance crew.
A spokeswoman for the service said: “We were called shortly after 10am to reports of a person in need of medical attention on the Canterbury Road bridge.
“Crews arrived and assessed and treated one person before taking them to the William Harvey Hospital for further treatment.”
