The demolition of prominent town centre eyesore Ashdown Court is now complete.
The last section of the former council housing block, in North Street, has now been torn down.
The work, which started in February, has been carried out by contractors from Durkan Limited and Ling Demolition Services.
Site manager Kevin Schofield said: “The building is down and we’ve started on the footings.
“We’re hoping to complete the foundations this week.
“Also, we’ll be bringing the crusher in this week to break up the bigger materials into smaller pieces.”
