A multi-storey car park in Ashford town centre has been closed after part of the ceiling on the second floor fell in.
Ashford Borough Council says it has shut its Edinburgh Road facility next to Wilko 'with immediate effect'.
It comes after drivers were forced to dodge debris yesterday afternoon when a chunk of concrete hit the ground on the second storey.
A council spokeswoman said: “Our Aspire team attended the site within the hour and removed the debris.
"We have subsequently made the decision to close Edinburgh Road car park with immediate effect.
"This is to enable us to carry out a full site inspection and necessary repair works.
"We apologise for the inconvenience caused whilst this work is undertaken."
Earlier this month, ABC was forced to close the unreliable lifts at Edinburgh Road following a safety inspection.
The 289-space car park was open as normal this morning, meaning some cars are still parked in the site.
The entry ramp has now been closed and once the site empties this evening, the whole car park will remain shut.
ABC says alternative parking is available in Park Mall, Vicarage Lane, Elwick Place, Elwick Road and Victoria Road.
The Park Mall car park has opened today for the first time since September.
