Kent Fire and Rescue Service's animal rescue unit went out to help a horse stuck in mud in Ashford.
One crew was called to a field in Hurst Lane, Charing Heath shortly before 12.15pm.
They used slide sheets to manoeuvre the 36-year-old mare to the side of the paddock, where they used strops to lift her back on to all fours.
The 14-hand horse, named Ebony, was led back to the safety of her stable and left in the care of her owner and a vet.
The crew left shortly after 2.35pm.
