A motorist was left “devastated” after their vehicle caught fire in a supermarket car park.
Firefighters were called to the Tesco Extra store at Moatfield Meadow in the Park Farm area of Ashford at 2pm on Saturday.
The engine of a black Mercedes appeared to catch fire, and one fire crew was called out to douse the flames.
One witness said she left the store and noticed smoke coming from the car park. She went over to the area and saw car on fire.
She said the owner returned to his car with Tesco workers and looked devastated about what had happened.
