Three popular bank holiday weekend concerts at a Kent park have been cancelled at the last minute.

Furious customers have hit out after events company Bel Events pulled shows due to be held at Hole Park near Tenterden – just days before they were due to take place.

The three concerts were listed for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings at the Rolvenden venue – but will now not go ahead.

The line-up included a ‘Bond, Bublé and Sinatra’ evening, followed by a ‘Proms Spectacular’ – promised to be a “magical night” – before culminating in a Hans Zimmer and John Williams celebration evening on the Sunday.

A statement shared on Hole Park’s Facebook page says bosses were only informed this morning that the promoter had pulled the events “due to financial difficulties”.

“Hole Park has been looking forward to hosting three concerts over the bank holiday weekend but on Wednesday morning (August 23) heard from the promoter, BEL Events Ltd, that due to financial difficulties they are no longer proceeding,” a spokesperson added.

“We are extremely sorry to all customers who bought tickets to these events.

“Please do not attend as there will be no events here on any of the stated concert times.

“All tickets sales to date have been online through the Bel Events website using a credit or debit card and should therefore be eligible for a refund via your bank. We recommend that you contact your bank to seek a refund.”

The Bel Events website no longer appears to be functioning, with the link only displaying the company’s logo on a grey background.

Excited customers have been left devastated by the news, with many taking to social media to hit out at the organiser for not informing ticket holders.

“This is awful, poor you Hole Park!” one customer said.

Another added: “Thank you for confirming this as the ticket agency has not contacted ticket holders yet – I was due to come this Sunday for Zimmer/Williams.”
