Family and friends of Daisy Washington, who died in a car crash when she was 14, are gearing up for a charity golf day and fete in her memory.
Both will take place at Homelands golf club, Ashford Road, Kingsnorth, this Saturday.
Since Daisy died on February 28, 2007, her parents Karen and Joe Washington and family friends, particularly Alison Lang, have worked tirelessly raising thousands of pounds for local charities.
They have persuaded stars to donate autographed items for a charity auction, including a David Beckham shirt, a football signed by this season’s Manchester United team, a Millwall football, a Frank Lampard kit, a Steven Gerrard Liverpool shirt, a Crystal Palace shirt, a cricket bat signed by the Surrey county cricket team and a Kylie Minogue CD.
Ex-Liverpool and England footballer Neil 'Razor’ Ruddock will be playing in the charity golf match and ex-Everton and Wales footballer Neville Southall and former boxer Johnny Armour will be attending an evening event.
A fire engine is one of many attractions at the fete in aid of the Pilgrim’s Hospice, which runs from 10am to 2pm in the golf club car park.
