Heroin charges after town raids

THREE men are due in court in Ashford today following drugs raids in Stanhope and Willesborough areas on Wednesday.

Shane Beeching, 24, of Leaveland Close, Stanhope, is charged with supplying heroin and class A drugs.

Andrew Covey, 33, from St Stephen's Walk, South Ashford, faces charges with supplying crack cocaine and heroin, and Robert Brewins, 24, of Sayer Road, Charing, with the supply of cocaine and heroin.

Two Ashford men aged 31 and 24 have been cautioned for possession of cannabis.

A man aged 25 from Willesborough, two men aged 38 and 35 from Ashford and a 35 year-old Ashford woman have been released on bail pending further police inquiries.

Two men aged 44 and 28 from Willesborough are still in custody.

A 30 year-old Ashford man was released without charge.
