Man arrested in Kingsnorth Road, Ashford after arson threats see road cordoned off

Parts of a street were cordoned off by police after reports a man threatened to set fire to a house.
Officers arrived at Kingsnorth Road in Ashford after receiving calls about the incident at about 2.15pm on Saturday.
A cordon was placed around the property in question before a man was arrested in connection with the incident.
The following day, Bulent Ozyurt, 49, was charged with assault and making a threat to destroy property to endanger life.
He appeared before Folkestone Magistrates’ Court on Monday and is due to appear before Canterbury Crown Court on Monday, November 4.
