An attention-loving husky is basking in the spotlight after becoming a social media sensation online.
Mika the husky has her own profile on the photo sharing app Instagram, and has racked up almost 60,000 adoring fans.
The three-year-old dog even had her own stage at Crufts along with other popular dogs, and featured in The Sun newspaper with owner Rebecca Patton.
Rebecca, 18, from Park Farm in Ashford, said she started taking pictures of Mika after following profiles for other celebrity dogs on Instagram.
She said: “Every time we go for a walk and I get my camera out she gets poised and ready. She loves the attention and is very spoilt on her dog walks.
“She has been to events like Crufts and The Kennel Club’s Discovery Dogs, and she was brilliant and coped really well with all the cuddles and photographs being taken. She is such a diva.
“We go for walks in woodlands nearby, and she also loves the beach as well. Without a doubt pictures in the woods are the ones her followers love the most.”
Rebecca says she first started taking pictures of Mika when she was still six-months old and posted them online.
Now Mika has learned to lap up the attention, so much so that Rebecca is considering becoming a dog photographer with her Nikon camera.
She added: “Mika always seems to have a cheeky smile and followers love her icy blue eyes. I think people like her because she is such a beautiful dog. She is really part of the family.
“When she was a puppy she was so comical, a bit of a class clown but every day has been special with her.”
Mika is recovering from ligament damage after playing with one of her fellow husky friends, and recently had an operation to her leg. But she is recovering, and Rebecca says she will soon be back taking photos on her walks again.
