Ian Field claims national cyclo-cross title

Ian Field was crowned the national cyclo-cross champion in Ipswich last Sunday after winning a sprint finish.
The 25-year-old, from Ashford, saw off the challenge of Liam Killeen in the final straight to take the win and the rainbow jersey.
Field and Killeen fought for the lead around the 3k course after riding clear of the field and just before the finishing straight, a touch of wheels in a sprint finish saw Killeen fall.
It left Field with a straight ride to the line as he claimed what is the biggest win of his career.
Field, who rides for Hargroves Cycles, will now focus on the world championships in Koksijde in Belgium at the end of the month.
