A new salad bar, promoting healthy eating, has opened today.
Salata can be found in Ashford's town centre, sandwiched between a barbers and a mini market.
And we wanted to be one of the first ones to try the new eatery.
So reporter Sam Williams made her way to the Bank Street cafe for a healthy lunchtime outing.
Here's what she thought:
My first impression was that the new cafe was pretty busy for its opening day, with customers regularly walking through the door.
When I arrived one of the four tables was already occupied, and another four groups of customers came in during my visit, some taking food away and others sitting in.
And it wasn't even lunch time yet.
The decor inside is quite different, and very modern.
The 'selfie wall' is what stands out most - this is a feature wall covered in leaves and greenery with a big Salata sign on it.
Owner Havva wanted people to be able to take photos next to it to post on social media.
And this is clearly working - I saw customers taking pictures alongside it in the 30 minutes I was there.
The menu isn't extensive - you can chose either a salad box or a wrap, with some snacks also available - but the variety of options for both the salad and the wraps are pretty decent.
There are seven outlined salad boxes to chose from - such as protein, gym or a meze box.
And you can add extra toppings too, or chose to create your own box from scratch.
There are also eight different wraps, including chicken, tuna and vegan.
I opted to create my own salad box, and went for the eight item selection for £6.25.
A smaller one is available for £3.25, with four options.
I picked spinach (instead of lettuce), chickpeas, tomato, sweetcorn, avocado, sauteed vegetables, houmous, with pomegranate seeds on top.
I also added falafel to my portion, which was topped off with seasoning and a drizzle of oil.
And it was all really tasty and fresh.
The home-made sauteed veg, which consisted of green beans and peppers, was particularly good, and I really enjoyed the pomegranate seeds with the houmous.
And it was a good portion size too, I felt full after, and quite healthy, which is a bonus.
It certainly beats the leftover pizza I had brought in for my lunch anyway.
Salata is open six days a week, Monday to Saturday, 9.30am-5.30pm.
