Jaguar catches fire on Ashford ring road

A dramatic amount of smoke billowed from a Jaguar after it caught fire on a ring road.
Passers-by videoed the blaze in Ashford as the F-Pace model seemed to be on the verge of blowing up.
Smoke was sent into the sky when the car caught alight in Somerset Road at about 3.30pm.

It left the SUV stranded on the side of the road as fire crews rushed to ensure the scene was safe.
A fire engine arrived shortly before 4pm.
The incident came just hours after a teenage boy was hit by a Ford Fiesta while crossing the road nearby.
