A sales executive from the KM Group's Ashford office had a fright "like something from a film" when she became stuck in a lift this morning.
The incident happened in Park Street in Ashford town centre just before 11am this morning.
The middle lift is still out of action.
Tracey Farrin, 47, who works in the advertising department at the Kentish Express office on North Street, said: "I was stuck for about 20 minutes with another lady.
"We were in between level one and two. We felt it going down
"When we stepped out we had to step down about six inches. It was higher than a kerb."
Tracey likened the incident to scenarios you see in Hollywood films: "The last thing we ever wanted to do was get in a lift and get stuck like you see in those films!
"I won't be keen to get in a lift again, especially those ones."
Three workmen helped to release the two women from the lift attached to the Edinburgh Road car park, owned by Ashford Borough Council.
Ashford Borough Council have been contacted for comment.
