A learner driver is facing a ban from the roads before even taking his test.
The man was left facing the unappealing prospect after police pulled him over in Ashford.
Officers from the Road Policing Unit stopped the Ford Galaxy in Norman Road this afternoon.
Upon speaking to the driver, they discovered that he was driving unsupervised, without L plates, with only a provisional licence.
Legally, learners can only drive in the presence of a qualified driver, in a car with L plates clearly displayed.
To make the driver's situation worse, police also seized his car after stopping him outside B and Q near to the Designer Outlet.
A spokesman for Kent Police said on twitter: "The driver has been reported for motoring offences.
"He now faces the prospect of a potential ban from driving before even having an opportunity to take his test."
