A mum says her family has been left devastated after a burglar broke into her home and stole a beloved pet chihuahua dog.
Brydee Hill returned home to Cleves Way in South Ashford yesterday to find the back door window had been smashed.
The mum-of-two said she called the police, who began a search for her dog Bailey, which had gone missing.
She said: “We want her home so much, she’s like another child to us. I’m very concerned she will get into the wrong hands, as people can be so cruel to dogs.
“Bailey is our loving family dog, and my children and I miss her so much. I’m devastated that some dirty low-life scum could come into my family home and take our loving dog.
“We’ve offered a reward of £1,500 on Facebook, but she’s worth so much more than that to us. Whoever stole her would only get a few hundred pounds if they sold her.”
Ms Hill believes the chihuahua went missing between 10.45am and 1pm yesterday. Police are investigating the incident, and say cash and jewellery were also taken.
Officers say two men were reported to be in the area at the time who they are keen to speak to to help with enquiries.
One is described as young white man in his early 20s, 5ft 8 ins tall with a medium build with black shoulder-length hair, wearing blue or black jeans with a black jumper.
The second is also a young man in his early 20s with ginger hair. He is 6ft tall with a slim build and was wearing blue or black jeans with a brown jumper.
