A group of teenage magicians, two of whom hail from Kent, will be looking for a place at the Britain's Got Talent final tonight.

4MG - which features 18-year-old Harry Nardi from Ashford and 17-year-old Theo Mallalieu from Hythe - trained in Ashford ahead of the competition, and wowed the judges with four card tricks in their audition performance.

The boys' routine stunned Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden, and David Williams, with the grand finale seeing Simon's chosen card transported inside a sealed pack of cards in a bottle.

Despite a number of possible explanations surfacing on social media, the quartet sailed through to the semi-finals and earned the support of large swathes of the viewing public.

Mr Nardi's father Peter runs Alakazam Magic Shop on Ellingham Way, which often plays host to the quartet as they rehearse their mind-bending moves.

It is in this store where the quartet first met.

Theo Mallalieu, the joint-youngest member of the group, said: "Me and Harry both work there and the other two were customers, so it was fate really.

"We just decided to get together and make something that perhaps hasn't been seen before.

"The first audition, the experience was just utterly phenomenal.

I've never experienced such a buzz than being on stage that day and I'd never been on stage previously, so it's a whole new chapter in my life and I absolutely love it.

"A lot of hard work has gone into the act.We are feeling ready for tonight, I think we're all well-rehearsed and we're really buzzed to see what the judges and audience think of the act.

"We'd like to say to our Kent support base, thank you for all of your support.

"It's been amazing, we can't get over the fact that we have so many comments and DMs from everybody around Kent.

"It's just amazing so thank you so much."

Harry Nardi said: "The experience of the first audition has been mental.

"It was the first time Theo and I had ever been on-stage before and it was crazy.

"The response we've had as well is phenomenal, we never thought we'd get anything like it.

"Our social media has been blowing up, and honestly the support has been incredible.

"We are ready for tonight - we've got something really, really special in store.

"The first audition went so well in terms of response and we were so happy with our performance but for the semi-finals, we're not using any cards.

"We're going to try a little psychology and mess with the minds of the judges which should be quite funny."

The Britain's Got Talent semi-final featuring 4MG airs tonight from 7.30pm on ITV, with the results show at 9.30pm
