Man arrested after 'threatening children' in Repton Park, Ashford

A man has been arrested after reportedly threatening a group of children at a play area.
Police were called to Repton Park, Ashford, following the incident yesterday evening.
Officers arrived at 7.49pm following reports the man had threatened the group following an argument.
No injuries were reported and a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.
He was taken into custody and inquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident are continuing.
Anyone who witnessed the incident and has yet to speak to officers – or anyone with domestic CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage which may assist the investigation – is urged to contact police.
