Police have arrested a man at the Ashford International Station after he was 'highly abusive' to staff.
An officer from the British Transport Police was alerted to an incident at 12.20am today at the Ashford train station.
It is believed that an announcement was put out over the station's system asking for any police officers to come forward after the man was rude to staff.
An off duty officer arrested one man for a public order offence.
Southeastern spokesman Mike Gibson said: "A man was highly abusive to a member of our staff at the ticket gate. We are not sure what sparked the incident.
"There was a confrontation and unfortunately for him an off-duty member of the British Transport Police was at the station and arrested him."
