A man has been charged with drink-driving following a crash that destroyed a set of traffic lights in Ashford.
Kent Police were called to Somerset Road on the junction with North Street just after 4am Sunday morning.
Police officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene where no injuries were reported.
Tiberiu Stoica, 32, of St Stephens Walk, Ashford was arrested at the scene for drink driving.
He was later charged and bailed to appear before Folkestone Magistrates Court on Wednesday January 11, 2017.
The crossing at the junction near to the town centre is currently out of action, but it is believed that workmen aim to have the work completed by the end of the day today (Tuesday November 29).
