A man from Ashford has been charged with attempted burglary after he allegedly tried to kick his way into a flat from a balcony.
Neal Madouri, 20, of Wellesley Road, was arrested in the early hours of Monday morning after police were called to a property to a report that a man was trying to break in.
Officers were called to Wellesley Road at around 1.30am after a man was spotted on a balcony trying to enter a flat by kicking the doors.
Kent Fire and Rescue also attended the incident to assist the police.
Madouri remained in custody and is due to appear before Canterbury Magistrates today.
