A suspected shoplifter has been charged after more than £300 worth of meat and cheese was swiped from two convenience stores.
Police launched an investigation after the Co-op store on Godinton Park and Morrisons Daily in The Singleton Centre, both in Ashford, were targeted earlier this month.
In total, an estimated £369 worth of goods were stolen from the two shops.
Police say six incidents were reported to them between August 1 and August 18.
Robert Bishop, 37, of no fixed address, was charged with shoplifting offences and remanded to appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court today.
